I made the base rocket itself with the free trial version of Fusion 360. That means that I couldn't save or create real renderings which was annoying. Eventually I was able to create the gif by stitching together various screenshots of me moving the model around manually.

The fire was difficult to add. At first, I tried smudging "firey" colors for each frame of the rocket animation. This ended up not looking very good because gifs don't allow for slightly transparent pixels.

To get around my issue of making fire without slightly transparent pixels, I decided that pixel art would be a good compromise. I made a few frames of a flickering fire and stitched the frames of the fire to the frames of my rocket animation.
